product-purchasing online has never been easier! We've created a webstore for registration
and purchase of continuing education courses and are in the near
future going to be accepting payments for advertisements in the
Silver State Massage Express. We are using a secure PayPal® option
as the online method of payment, where you do not need a PayPal
account; you may use your Visa, Mastercard, American Express. All
continuing education courses offered through the shopping cart and
Chapter calendar are NCBTMB-approved and/or NSBMT-approved.
Reno Education Event - October 20th, 2008
This October 20th (Monday), the Nevada Chapter is proud to offer
Myofascia of the Pelvis CE class, presented by Tom Gordy.
Myofascia of the Pelvis: This course is designed to familiarize
students with the primary myofascial units of the pelvis and how
they relate to function. This hands-on course will explore identifying
and releasing restrictions that contribute to pelvic and low back
dysfunction. Specific positioning and mechanics will be taught as
well as gentle techniques for both client and practitioner.
Attendees will need table, lotion, and sheets. Underwear is recommended.
7 CEHs are awarded for attendance and participation; NCB provider-approved.

State Conference Coming in 2009!
Initially, the Chapter plans to hold the Annual General Meeting
on Tuesday, June 2nd, 12:00 – 2:00 for all NV Chapter members and
non-members to attend. Only members will have a voice in voting
on Chapter issues during the meeting.

Nevada State Board of Massage Therapists
Are you a Student, new to the state, or just want
to find out more information about your Nevada State Board of Massage
Therapy (NSBMT)? Then go to the NSBMT
website. You will find information there on what is required
to become licensed in the State of Nevada. The NSBMT site has an
excellent “frequently asked questions” page that can answer a lot
of questions that might be of interest to you.
The home page has links to license renewal instructions, how to
become licensed in Nevada, continuing education information, and
upcoming meetings. The public is invited to attend all NSBMT board
meetings. The Board's meeting agenda will be posted a minimum of
three days prior to the Meeting.
The next meeting of the NSBMT (videoconferenced
in Reno & Las Vegas) is October 10th, starting at 9 am - visit
their site for more details!
