Nevada has a “Massage Therapy Awareness Week” in 2019

2018 Nevada Massage Therapy Awareness Week - gubernatorial proclamation

For its fourth year, the Chair of the American Massage Therapy Association, Nevada Chapter’s National Massage Therapy Awareness Week (NMTAW®) Committee – Tom Dougherty – helps keep Nevada in the know about Massage Therapy and its positive impact on human health conditions.

On October 15th, 2019, in anticipation of the AMTA’s nationally-recognized and -promoted NMTAW®, Tom asked and Governor Steve Sisolak issued an Executive Proclamation recognizing the week of October 22 – 28, 2019, as Massage Therapy Awareness Week in Nevada.

Please join us in celebrating by submitting any activities you might be doing this week to promote Massage Therapy to the public: demonstration at a health fair, specially-made flyers you’re handing out to your clients and the public, a blog article you wrote to feature the benefits of massage therapy … or any other massage-promotional activities you’ve thought of!

The AMTA-NV Chapter would be happy to post your activity on our Facebook Page and/or website to show your dedication and passion for massage therapy.

You can read more about and submit your own stories about your 2019 NMTAW® activities at the Association’s website or contact the Nevada Chapter for more information or finding out how you can start your own, chapter-hosted promotional event for next year.
